A MESSAGE TO THE MOTOR INDUSTRY: An Invitation to Fuel the Future
For the last three years, Roadster Magazine has been a parent child passion project— a unique, child-led connected learning platform proving that we can successfully connect the motor industry to the next generation through engaging child-focused educational content. We've produced regular issues, seen organic growth, and secured brilliant industry acclaim.
But to meet national demand and truly scale our educational impact, we've hit the wall of the volunteer-led model. We can't reach the children who need us most without a full-time, professional structure.
That's why we're moving to Phase 2: Professionalisation and Scale.
Our plan is clear: Transition to a self-sustaining Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), funded by a dedicated Industry Consortium. This will allow us to establish experienced leadership, and—crucially—implement a permanent "Free-to-Schools" distribution model across the UK.
Does Roadster! have a future as a national force for good?
ARE YOU IN THE INDUSTRY? We need YOUR perspective to help us answer that question.
Please take 3 minutes to complete our short, non-binding Signal of Interest Survey. Your input confirms our strategic plan and helps us secure the foundational funding needed to scale up.

Are kids just passengers in the world of motoring?
We don't think so!
We believe they're essential crew!
They are the drivers, engineers, innovators, and storytellers of the future!
-
ROADSTER! a motoring magazine aimed at children (roughly aged 8-14) who are interested in cars, driving, and “the road”.
-
CHILD-LED! Kids help to create the magazine (with adult support) rather than just being passive readers.
-
NON_PROFIT SOCIAL ENTERPRISE! Any income generated is reinvested into the project.
-
PUBLISHED THREE TIMES A YEAR! Aligned to school holidays ( Spring, Summer, Winter) so that it fits with the kids’ calendar.
-
EDUCATE, INSIRE AND ENTERTAIN! Engaging young readers about motoring and road-related topics — e.g., road safety, the engineering of cars, the history of motoring, writing skills, design.
-
INVOLVED! Kids are encouraged to get creative on Roadster! — writing articles, doing photography/design, marketing, web development... learning how a magazine is made.
-
PROVIDES AGENCY! Kids get real-world experience through making Roadster! They get to see their writing/design in print, and explore the world of motoring rather than simply reading about it.
-
PROVIDES CONNECTION! A light-touch way for the motoring industry to connect early with the drivers and engineers of the future
-
EDUCATORS WELCOME! Parents, teachers or mentors may want to encourage kids’ engagement with motoring, literacy, or STEM in a novel way.
-
PRODUCED IN THE UK! Based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, we are a stone's throw away from major motor industry sites and players. We offer a mixture of UK-centric content and motoring themes of wider international interest.
