Policies

ROADSTER! is still a project in a developmental stage. We are putting things in place as we go along.

As the project socialises more we understand we need to develop robust polices to support the project.

These policies will be maintained on this page. If a policy you are looking for is not here, please contact us directly.

Safeguarding Children

Every group or organisation in the UK has a duty to safeguard children and young people in their care. This includes making sure that all children who attend events and activities are kept safe.

This policy sets out our approach to safeguarding

Parental Consent

Roadster! provides activities for children and young people. We are required to gain consent from parents or carers for their child to participate.

This form is used to obtain this consent and gather the necessary information to keep children safe during the activity.

Data Protection

The minimum age for consent to processing a child’s data in the UK is 13 years old (16 years old is the minimum outside of the UK under GDPR).

The data controller is under an additional duty to make reasonable efforts to verify that, where consent is given by a parent or guardian, that person actually has responsibility for the child.

Photographing and filming children

Roadster! is a children's media project. As such, it is extremely important that children and young people feel happy about their achievements and there is consent to use their images (including in video).

This policy sets out our approach.
