People Traffic Signs


REMEMBER!


RED triangular signs are warning signs. 


RED Circular Signs are giving orders, mostly telling you what you must NOT do!


Signs with BLUE circles generally tell you something you MUST do.


Frail Pedestrians Likely

  • The sign is used to warn drivers that there are likely to be frail or disabled people  in the road. The people may be slow, frail or poor sighted and may need more time to cross.

  • The sign is generally used where people are likely to cross where there is no safe pedestrian or zebra crossing. 

  • The signs may be placed near assisted living housing, nursing homes or residential areas.


Pedestrians Prohibited

  • This sign is intended to keep people safe and out of areas which are intended for vehicle use only.

  • The sign means the public are not allowed to walk along the road or pathway. 

  • This sign is common in urban areas where there are no pathways, especially where there are underpasses or flyovers.

  • The sign can also be used where in tram-only routes to ensure people keep away and stay safe.
