Knockhill "Teen Drive"

For young drivers north of the border, Knockhill is the undisputed heavyweight. As Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre — and the country’s only FIA‑accredited circuit — it offers a first‑drive experience with genuine motorsport pedigree!

Beginners start with core skills in a dual‑controlled Citroën C1 (or similar nippy hatchback) before progressing to guided laps of the legendary 1.27‑mile track. Expect steep elevation changes, “blind” crests and corners that challenge even seasoned racers, all set against sweeping Fife scenery.

Prices begin at £145, and the experience is strictly for ages 13+. It’s a single‑location offering, but if you’re within reach of Knockhill, it’s one of the most dramatic and confidence‑boosting places to learn the basics.

Roadster! Verdict

If you want a first drive that feels like a motorsport moment, Knockhill delivers in style. It’s pricier than most and not exactly central, but the thrill factor is unmatched for Scottish teens.
