LEGO’s WILD Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear - the fastest full size LEGO supercar… ever!

LEGO Technic has teamed up with Koenigsegg to do something completely wild… they’ve built a full‑size, drivable LEGO Technic version of the new Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear, and then sent it flying up the Goodwood Hill at 111 km/h!

The car was build to launch one of LEGO’s most advanced engineering sets ever — the LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Megacar (42232), a 4,104‑piece, 1:8 scale, 18+ adult collector model designed to recreate the real megacar’s INSANE mechanicals!

The Real Sadair’s Spear: A Megacar Built for Records

Koenigsegg doesn’t build “supercars” or “hypercars.” They build MEGACARS which are so powerful they need their own category! The Sadair’s Spear is the latest in that bloodline.

Under its sculpted carbon‑fibre skin sits a twin‑turbo V8 producing a staggering 1,600+ horsepower (!!), paired with Koenigsegg’s ultra‑lightweight chassis and their signature Triplex suspension system. Everything about the car is designed for extreme performance:

• active aerodynamics

• a razor‑sharp monocoque

• a top speed that pushes DEEP into megacar territory

• and Koenigsegg’s iconic dihedral synchro‑helix doors, which rotate outward like mechanical origami

Roadster! was lucky enough to see the car tear down the track at Goodwood Festival of Speed last year - it wowed the crowd! It’s the kind of engineering that makes everyone stop and stare!

The Full‑Size LEGO Technic Version

To celebrate the launch of the set, LEGO and Koenigsegg built a life‑size Technic replica that is not just for show - it is LEGO Technic and Koenigsegg pushing each other to the absolute limit!

• 327,906 LEGO elements!

• 1,800 kg total weight!

• 9,400+ hours of design and assembly!

• Working Ghost Mode!

• Functional doors, mirrors, and Koenigsegg key!

• A Technic‑built body that mirrors the real car’s proportions!

Koenigsegg test driver Markus Lundh, the same driver who set the real Sadair’s Spear Goodwood record, drove the LEGO version up the Hill at 111 km/h, smashing the previous LEGO speed record.

Just think about that a second time- a LEGO car travelling at 111km/h… it’s extraordinary!

The LEGO Technic Set (42232):

The smaller scale retail model is just as serious.

The LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Megacar is part of the Ultimate Car Concept Series. It is designed specifically for adult builders aged 18+. This is a deep, technical build that shows just how the real car works.

Key features from the official set:

• 4,104 pieces

• A working V8 piston engine

• A 9‑speed sequential gearbox

• Koenigsegg’s Triplex suspension (front and rear)

• A new rotating gear‑indicator disc

• A detailed cockpit with authentic controls

• Full Ghost Mode:• rear clam opens

• dihedral doors rotate

• mirrors fold

• hood lifts

— all in one motion

It’s a brilliant introduction to real automotive engineering!

Roadster! Verdict

The real Sadair’s Spear is a megacar built for world‑class performance. The full‑size LEGO version is a record‑breaking engineering stunt.

And the 18+ Technic set is one of the most advanced mechanical builds LEGO has ever released.

Together, they show exactly what happens when creativity, engineering and pure ambition collide.
