ROAD SAFETY SHOULD START AT SCHOOL!

A new petition has been launched to make road safety lessons part of the national curriculum.

Campaigners say too many children are hurt on the roads each year, with 64 children killed and more than 13,000 injured in 2024.

They want proper, age‑appropriate lessons from primary school onwards so every child learns how to travel safely and confidently. Supporters hope the government will make road safety a regular part of school life.
